Hi, I wouldn't recommend it. Hamsters do not like warm habitats. It is especially bad if the cage is put near a window that gets warm, a furnace, or where there's a warm draft. Plus, the cage needs to be well lit. Hope that helps a little!
You don't always have to cover a hamster's cage. It only depends on the hamster's personality and the surroundings of it. If the hamster is one which is easily scared by moving things, then it is better if you cover the cage with a towel to block it's view. Otherwise, it is perfectly fine to leave the hamster cage uncovered. In winter, it will be better to cover the cage as it is quite cold and even though the hamster has fur, will not be able to protect itself fully from the cold.
if youhave a big cage you can put up to 4 or 5 hamsters. with a small cage you can have 1 to 3 hamstersI would put 4 in a big cage, and 2 in a small cage.
Of course they have ARMS!!!they are kind of short thoughYes hampsters do have arms
Yes, the babies will die if you take them away from the mother. They need her to nurse them and keep them warm. There is a small chance that the mother will kill the babies if she is stressed. Keep the cage somewhere without a lot of noise or traffic. Do not mess with the mom or the babies outside of regular maintenance until the babies eyes are open, and they are able to get around a bit on their own.
Depending on if you are an adult or not, Syrian hamsters are usually docile and great for families with kids or first-timers. However, all hamster are all the same when it comes to management. Panda hamsters, such as the one I own, are like cats and will clean themselves. (Syrian hamsters include/are like panda, golden, and teddy bear hamsters.) But, all hamsters urinate, excrete, and can be a little rowdy, depending on the breed. Do a little research and find what hamster would fit your needs/wants. But, overall, Syrian/panda hamsters are great pets who, for the most part, don't smell to much if the cage is cleaned with warm water and unscented dish soap> (It works for my hammy!) Just be sure you keep up with your duties and Have a happy Hammy!
They are warm blooded because they are mammals.
They dig through the bedding with their noses and cover themselves completely with it to keep warm.

1 Keep the cage partially covered. 2 Keep the cage in the sunlight but sheltered from wind.

to keep them warm and/or clean
Yes! You have to cover it so it can eat the goo and keep it warm.
