on average there is 150 snow storms a year in the usa
Depends on where you live. I spent 35 years in NW Bergen county where we averaged 36" of snow a season over a 30 year period. Of course what is a snowstorm? Over 2", 3, 4 etc...I would say the average snowfall is around 3" which is about 12 falls per year in that part of the state. But that includes the 20" STORMS and the 0.5" "storms".
A blinding snow storm is called a blizzard. A blizzard must have sustained winds of over 30 mile per hour. These storms are extremely deadly and shelter is necessary for survival.
It has many unknown storms. Everybody should know the Great Red Spot, which is the biggest storm on Jupiter. It can swallow up about 2-3 Earths. Also there are about 20 known storms on Jupiter and many are still forming. Hoped this helped!
The climate in the Canadian Shield is: 100cm-200cm of snow per year 200mm-350mm of rain per year
