Use a carpet pre-spray solution first on your carpets. Then use a hire'd soil extraction machine and rinse the pre-sprayed solution out of your carpet.
When you apply the pre-spray solution, use a carpet pile brush and agitate the solution into your carpet pile. This will clean even the most soiled carpet more thoroughly.
You'll find that just one pass of the extraction machine will be enough to clean your carpet. You'll also have a much quicker drying time because you are not using too much water.
