The starter kit sounds cheaper to buy, because it is sold in one bulk purchase.
I wouldrecommend buying a new cage or using a perused that is in better condition. Rust can be very harmful if ingested by a guinea pig

Yes, if you are buying a guinea pig set with the food, bedding, food bowl, water bottle, and the cage. They sell a good starter kit for $50.00 at PetSmart, but at PetCo they sell the same thing for $70.00! Hope this helps! :-)
The guinea hens ,that my neighbor raises, are better that watchdogs.
Hi , A guinea pig's price is always depending on the kind of guinea pig you are buying and where you buy it. But if you are planning on buying a guinea pig at a pet store like , PetSmart, if you had about 35$ you should be able to buy one considering their prices are usually in the late 20's (without tax) for guinea pig's. But if you buy a guinea pig from a person selling them it could be any price.
A pet store would be a better choice

It sounds fair buying them from either, but it does depend on how well they treat the guinea pigs..
