The pressure ensures that the tyre can support the weight of the car without flattening out so that the tyre tread touches the wheel rim. Think what happens when a tyre gets a puncture and the internal pressure is lost.

What happens inside a close car on a hot day?

The temperature will rise because the interior cannot re-radiate all of the heat through the glass or car body (as in a greenhouse). Unless the car is being cooled in some way, the interior air can reach potentially dangerous temperature levels (35 to 40°C or higher).

Why can't we feel the atmospheric pressure?

We do not feel the earths atmospheric pressure because it is the same everywhere all round us. The body can only really feel pressure differences. Try this, put your finger in your mouth and suck. Your finger and indeed the inside of you mouth will feel the pressure difference you create. Also sometimes if you go up in a lift or are in a car, bus or plane that goes up or down, you may feel pressure changes in your ears. This is because the pressure in your middle ear takes time to equalize with the atmospheric pressure changes caused as you go up and down in altitude.

Is it more safe to stay in a car or outside during a lightning storm?

Stay inside the car

Can water boil as hot as 800 degrees Fahrenheit?

No. Water boils at 212 F. The boiling cools it and keeps it from getting hotter than that. Water can be put under pressure and heated higher than 212, but it does not boil while it is heated under pressure. That is why car modern can radiator caps are pressure caps.

Why is car not struck by lightning?

The person themselves won't be; but the car can. However, it won't affect the person inside. Since a car has rubber tires (which do not conduct electricity) it isn't grounded. Therefore, there is no way for the electricity to complete the circuit. You're perfectly safe in a car in a thunderstorm.
