think of it this way. you are something that has active use and the anvil is something the has passive use. Now considering the fact that you have active use, consider the fact that you are an instrument of some sort. In this case, an instrument of blunt force and persecution, like that of a militant force. you are strong and your basic action is to hit, beat, smash etc. If you consider this than consider the anvil to be the opposite of what the hammer symbolizes and that the hammer must have something to hit, so in a case, it is better to be the mhammer the anvil.
